Custom Engineered Drives

A separate development team for custom engineered drives supervises every project, from specification to volume production, and ensures that the final result is both technically and economically sound. Countless drive solutions, from worm, spur or planetary gears to complex drive systems, have already been produced in this way.

Gear technology is our specialty: We have been manufacturing gears with internal and external teeth, rotor shafts, pinions, and sprockets in addition to numerous specialty solutions according to our customers’ specifications for more than 110 years. Depending on the specific requirements, we utilize a wide variety of materials, including steel, aluminum, various non-ferrous metals, and synthetics.

By manufacturing more than one million worm gear sets per year, Framo Morat is one of the leaders in this market. In addition to our standard series, we also offer custom solutions that are manufactured from a wide variety of materials with diameters from 15 to 300 mm and center distances from 17 to 150 mm, depending on requirements.

Plastic precision parts have been injected molded for over fifty years by F. Morat & Co. GmbH as a part of the Franz Morat Group.

Parts that can hardly be distinguished visually from other parts are outperforming the common standards in quality, precision and durability. Each developed specifically for a certain product and certain application. The portfolio include gear parts, plastic-metal connections and technical parts of all sort.

Planetary Gears

Planetary gears G-series

Framo Morat planetary gears provide you with all the freedoms and options, because we can offer the right solution for any application, no matter how specialized it is. The G-series includes the high-end gearbox lines GSD (flange gear), GSB (inline) and GSBL (angle gear) as well as the high-end economy lines GSN and GFE.

For custom engineered drive solutions tailored completely to your individual specifications, you benefit from our expertise in development and systems, which has been growing for decades.

Hub gears

Hub gears from Framo Morat are characterized by their compact design, which is achieved by integrating the planetary stage into the wheel hub. In applications with limited space, such as in wheel drives for automated guided vehicles (AGV), the hub drives guarantee for high radial loads, long service life and low noise emission. The hub gearboxes are available in the NG250 and NG500 variants, each in single- and double-stage versions with Vulkollan® wheels. Based on this, customer-specific adaptations or completely individually developed drive systems can be realized.

Slip-on Geared Motor Compacta

Slip-on geared motor Compacta with integrated automated switching are ideal drives for applications in reversing mode.
A spur/worm gear drive, combined with power-optimized motors, enables the compact design and low weight. As a result, the Compacta series is ideal for applications with limited space conditions.

Linear Actuator Mini

The linear actuator “Mini” is based on the economic minimum principle:
Use of powerful hollow-shaft motors delivers the required lifting force with a drive that is very short relative to the stroke length.
This makes the Mini a particularly good choice when space is limited.
An extensive selection of options makes it possible to adapt to a variety of application types.

 

PushPull LinearChain

Schubkette

The PushPull LinearChain Actuator is able to move loads horizontally as well as vertically.

The LinearChain consists of specially designed links. The geometry of the chain sidebar prevents kinking when under pressure. As a result, the LinearChain works like a conventional linear drive.
