Gear Technology

Our gearing parts include spur and helical gears, pinion and rotor shafts, ring gears, sprockets, tooth segments and special profiles, which are individually adapted to the customer’s requirements. In addition to a catalog worm gear set program for center distances between 17 – 80 mm, we also manufacture worm gear sets that are specially adapted to customer requirements.  The latest addition in the field of gear technology is the speeroX gearing developed by Framo Morat, which allows high gear ratios and a power flow around the corner to be realized in just one stage. With our plastic injection molding production, we produce high-quality gearing parts, but also technical parts in general, such as housings, cams, covers or covers that have to meet high standards of precision, durability and temperature resistance.

spur gears

Gear technology is our specialty: We have been manufacturing gears with internal and external teeth, rotor shafts, pinions and chain wheels as well as a variety of special solutions according to customer specifications for over 110 years. Depending on the requirements, we use a wide range of materials – steel, aluminum, various non-ferrous metals and plastics.

Worm gear sets

Schneckenradsatz

With around 1.5 million worm gear sets produced per year, Framo Morat is one of the market leaders. In addition to our standard series, we also offer customer-specific solutions that are manufactured from a wide variety of materials in diameters from 15 to 300 mm and center distances from 17 to 150 mm, depending on requirements.

speeroX gearings

The speeroX gearing enables significant advantages over classic gearbox variants in terms of performance, efficiency, noise, service life and installation space through application-specific adjustments.

Plastic gears

Plastic gearing parts impress with their low weight and low noise levels. Hybrid gearing utilizes the advantages of the combination of metal and plastic and enables high resistance. Technical plastic components enable the realization of complex geometries.

FRP Hybrid Components

Fiber-plastic composites are particularly suitable for components that have to withstand high loads and long periods of use. FRP hybrid components offer high rigidity and strength combined with low weight and a resulting low moment of inertia.
